OTET Trail and all Service Detail = Safety is our NUMBER 1 Priority and Responsibility! Leave the driving to us!
- Budget ~4.5 hours for transit time end-to-end.
- The shuttle requires your name, phone number, party size, bicycle type to book. No deposit required. We work on the honor system and expect you to do the same!
- The shuttle is cash based! We usually settle up at the conclusion of your trip. Cash is strongly preferred when possible. Otherwise, Venmo, PayPal, Personal Check and Zelle are options. No Credit Cards accepted. Tips and gratuities are not mandatory but HIGHLY APPRECIATED and are part of any transportation service. If we have added value to your journey, tangible appreciation is graciously accepted even if it’s a simple rounding up on your bill at the end. We will do our best for you!
- Standard shuttle run days are Monday, Thursday and Saturday. May through October. If you have 4-5 riders in your group, we will run on additional days. We do plan additional days during the HIGH Traffic months of JUNE and SEPTEMBER.
- The shuttle will be in contact with all booked passengers ~2 weeks ahead of your shuttle. This will be a touch-base follow-up call or text to inquire if everyone is tracking and all is well. It will obtain/share any additional and necessary details. It will also advise the number of riders, stops to be made along the way, if any, and confirm the rate to be charged and methods of payment.
- The shuttle strongly prefers morning pick-ups ~8:00 am -8:30 am anywhere around CLE or Akron. We can do end-of-ride afternoons in certain cases. Call.
- The shuttle picks up around the riverfront area upon arrival. Arrival to riverfront is usually ~1:30 pm – 2:00PM. Return back to CLE is usually ~6:00PM -7:00 PM.
- The shuttle handles conventional bikes and e-bikes as a routine process. You must advise us if you are using a trailer or have any non-standard gear.
- The shuttle can and does handle recumbent bikes/trikes, tandems etc. Often, those must be managed on “Stand Alone” trips due to space limitations. Call to review and have specs and photos of the rig ready to send us. We will advise the best plan.
- The Shuttle has one Southbound programmed stop in Jeffersonville to take on fuel. This is a SHEETZ station offering hot/cold food, refreshments, etc. It is one hour away from the riverfront and a great way to “fuel yourself up” before the launch, change clothing or just take a break. This is a 10–15-minute stop.
- The Shuttle has one Northbound programmed stop in Lodi/Burbank to take on fuel. This is a LOVES station offering hot/cold food, refreshments, etc. It is within one hour from Edgewater Park or Downtown CLE. This is a 10–15-minute stop.
- The shuttle can make mid-point stops along the length of the OTET trail at shuttles’ discretion. These stops may be subject to additional charges. Remaining close to the I71 corridor is strongly preferred.
- The shuttle can accommodate large groups greater than 5 riders. Call to walk through your ideas and we will advise on the best strategy.
- Airline travelers: We do help move your bike bags and cases. See Rates.
YOU MUST ADVISE US AHEAD OF THE TRIP IF YOU ARE USING A LUGGAGE SHUTTLE OR HAVE LARGER THAN NORMAL (FULL SIZE) BAGGAGE or if you use a BIKE TRAILER. [It’s usually not a problem but please advise if you use fenders on your bike or have front wheel mounted racking.]
- Please advise us of any motion sickness concerns or needs for front seat, etc.
